According to NBC Nightly News cassettes are making a come back! Well, you’re in for a treat because Cassette Store Day is THIS Saturday, October 17th. We’ll have lots of limited-edition cassettes available (while they last) and the Yoknapataco Food Truck will be here from 11-3 serving lunch and popsicles!
A few key releases for Cassette Store Day that are close to the heart (see photos below):
-We’ll be selling a handful of copies of our newest release, Resting on My Laurels, by PLUME. This release is set for October 29th but a few early-bird copies will be available on Saturday. Read more about this release and listen to some tracks RIGHT HERE.
-We’ll also have a limited number of Andrew Bryant’s Honeymoon / Blackbird EP cassettes–originally released in 2011. These things are beautiful and we’ll be the first place to snag a copy. You may know Andrew as the drummer for Water Liars or from his excellent solo records.
We’ll also be stocking limited-cassette releases from Green Day (Dookie!), Car Seat Headrest, Arcade Fire, Beach Slang (they made a mixtape!), and more!
