Our buddies up the road in Como, Mississippi at Home Place Pastures are throwing one helluva party this coming weekend–Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21. Here’s the Facebook event for the Saturday night festivities which includes live music from some of North Mississippi’s best–Como Mamas, Rev. Wilkins, RL Boyce, Kenny Brown and more–as well as BBQ and booze. It’s also BYOB and $5 at the door. Then, on Sunday, there’ll be a full on Boucherie featuring some of the top chefs from across the South. Go here to see who all is coming to cook and hang. Tickets for Sunday are on sale now but they’re going quick! Proceeds from the event will go to the Southern Foodways Alliance.
So come on out Saturday night for the party, then come back on Sunday for the food.
