We’re pleased to announce a very special night of music and art at Southside Gallery.
We’re teaming up with Southside Gallery and Muscle Beach Records to bring you an amazing event with two live sets of music featuring the ambient/instrumental works of Kell Kellum and Prehistoric Bird as well as the opening reception for new artwork by Josh Burwell.
Josh Burwell will be exhibiting new work in the upstairs gallery, which will remain up for a few weeks. We’ll have a few special items for sale in addition to Josh’s new work. Josh will be present for this opening reception. Josh is responsible for tons of design work for the record store since we opened in 2012. We’ll be giving away a free zine cataloging all of the record store work he’s done.
Kell Kellum’s new album of instrumental work, “Adding to the Ashes,” is forthcoming on Muscle Beach Records. Kell will be performing his ambient material for a sit-down set.
Prehistoric Bird–the moniker for Clay Jones’s solo guitar project–will be performing a set of music as well. Prehistoric Bird also released an album of instrumental music via Muscle Beach Records in 2017.
Records and artwork will be for sale. So please bring cash.
There will be a cash bar on site for the event. Seating is limited. Open to the public. All Ages.
