Radiohead may be one of the most important rock bands of the last 20 years so anytime they drop a new record it’s worth paying attention to. The bands ninth studio album, A Moon Shaped Pool, dropped (digitally) on Sunday and we couldn’t download it fast enough. The record is probably the most tame, mellow album to date but it’s also probably the bands prettiest. Jonny Greenwood’s orchestrations shine through more than on any other Radiohead release and we’re not complaining. Greenwood’s work on P.T. Anderson film soundtracks have led us to this point and it’s pure minimalistic bliss–combined with Thom Yorke’s vocals and it’s really something special. The digital version of the record sounds great but we’re REALLY EXCITED about the upcoming vinyl release on June 17th.ย

We’ll be stocking the limited, white vinyl version on June 17th ONLY AVAILABLE AT INDEPENDENT RECORD SHOPS! These will be sure to go quick so come by the shop on the 17th to snag a copy or PREORDER NOW. The limited edition version will come on 2 opaque, white vinyl LPs in a silver foil gatefold sleeve and will include a digital download of the record. You can preorder the limited vinylย version of the LP right here.

We’ll also have copies of the “Burn the Witch”/”Spectre” 7-inch single on May 16th. These are also limited and only available at independent records shops.

*UPDATE: We aren’t sure yet how many copies of the limited, white vinyl version we’ll be getting so we’ve suspended preorders until we know more. This record is more than likely going to be allocated, therefore it’ll be 1 copy per customer. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.ย
