The year is winding down. The shop has been really busy this fall/winter with the Ole Miss Football team’s playoff run, the record shop getting mentioned in The New Yorker holiday gift guide, and the general business Oxford brings throughout the year with locals, students, and tourists. Our little shop is chugging along!

Last year was the first time we didn’t post a “favorite records of the year” list. I see those list all over the internet every year and they all kind of bum me out. Records shouldn’t be ranked really. I don’t know… we can discuss the whole “list” thing whenever. Just swing by the shop and hang out. I’m sure we can get into it. I do, however, dig year-end lists as a reminder of the good stuff, the stuff I didn’t catch the first time around, and the stuff I’ve just never heard of. So, read your lists on your favorite sites, or discuss with your music-nerd group chat. Get turned on to new stuff. Replay the records you loved throughout the year. It’s all subjective!

Anyways, last year was also the first time we did a year-end roundup of all the great stuff that happened at the record store throughout the year, and we wanna stick with this idea. We also look back at some of the losses, hardships, and bummers the year brought through the shop. It’s a trip down memory lane! I like this list. It’s so fun to relive and remember all the amazing stuff that took place in our little shop. It’s most important to remember the highs and the lows, and to celebrate it all. So, without further ado, here’s some of the most memorable stuff that happened at The End of All Music (and Oxford!) in 2025.

As always, big love to all the fine folks that come through our shop doors and click around our shop website. Our customers are the best people in the world, and we’re glad we can call so many of them friends.

See y’all in 2026. Shop local. Support to the stuff you care about. Keep your community in mind. Be a regular somewhere. Remember, no algorithm can replace this.

See ya soon,

David, Clay, Tori, Ian, and Morgan
