So let’s have a party!
Friday, March 1st we’ll be celebrating our one-year anniversary. We’ll have some stuff going on at the shop all day…stay tuned for more info on that, but the big party will be that night at the Lamar Lounge just down the street. We’ve lined up some of our favorite bands for the occasion; Nuh-uh, Cowboy Killers, Plume, Child Star, a rare solo set by Sean Kirkpatrick (of Colour Revolt), Youth Flag, and special guest Art Rosenbaum (he’s in town for his art show at Yalo Studio in Water Valley, MS). DJ Rolex Luthor will be spinning records in between sets.
Cover is $5 with some of the cash going to the bands and the majority of the cash going to Norton Records. Norton is an excellent reissue label that had most of its vinyl stock wiped out by super-storm Sandy. Read more on Norton here.
Len Clark is designing a super-limited, screen-printed poster to commemorate the event. The posters will be for sale at the show. We’ll post the design asap. It’ll rule.
